Dear Orienteering friends,
HOC’93 kindly invites you for the third edition of the Drenthe 2 Days. This third edition will be organized on 26th and 27th of October 2019 near Appelscha. In 2019 we will take you again to the “Drents-Friese Wold”, the beautiful national parc on the border of Drenthe and Frysia province. And actually both 2 stages will be on Frysian Province ground, but we’ve kept the original name not to confuse you.
I’m very proud to announce a complete new map “De Bosberg” which will be used for stage 1. We will use it for the first time during the Drenthe 2 Days. De mapper is Gediminas Trimakas from Lithuania. He was pleasantly surprised by the detailed area and he rated it to be very suitable for a world elite race. That’s why we start the Drenthe 2 Days with a World Ranking Event Middle Distance for the Women and Men Elite.
For the second stage we will return to a terrain which we have used in the earlier editions, i.e. “De Kale Duinen”. Two demanding but fantastic orienteering days are waiting for you and HOC’93 will do everything to meet your expectations. The terrain and maps won’t disappoint you for sure! We hope to see you in October at the Drenthe 2 Days where you can experience it yourself.
