Time for an update
It’s time for an update from the organizing team. We’ve got quite some news to share with you:
We will be organizing a warm up event on Friday evening. We are planning a sprint-relay and we will use the Drenthe 2 Days arena also for the sprint relay. So short travel times if you stay near Appelscha and we will keep the running times also short to save your energy for the next 2 days. Details will follow soon but we can already say that you will need a small head light and the map will be a real ‘playground’.
De Jongens van Outdoor will organize the catering during the Drenthe/Friesland2Days and with their prominent establishment in the arena they will already start to create a great atmosphere during the warm up event on Friday evening. And maybe you have time to enjoy the climbing parc of ‘De Jongens van Outdoor’.

Almost 100 orienteers have already registered so don’t hesitate any longer!
We are very happy to announce that holiday parc RCN De Roggebergwill be our accommodation partner. Just like the 2016 edition they will offer all the competitors reduced prices for the holiday homes on the parc. You can also use the camping site. We have a new IOF Event Advisor. Wil Alards will advise us again just like in 2016 and help organize a high quality 2 days orienteering event. (our previous advisor had to withdraw because of personal circumstances)
Last but not least we are very pleased with the support of Provincie Fryslân. Because this years edition of the 2 Days fully takes place in Friesland the province is supporting us to create a high quality event.
Well we hope you are just as excited as we are about the Drenthe/Friesland 2 Days. We hope to see you in October.
